Privacy Policy

Last Modified: September 15, 2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how Reggora, Inc. ("Reggora," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the HomeInspector.com websites, web and mobile applications, client and agent portals, booking pages, inspector websites we host, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services.

1. Who This Policy Covers, and Our Two Roles

The Services are used by Inspectors (home inspectors and inspection companies), Agents (real-estate agents following jobs), and Clients and Visitors (homebuyers, homeowners, and others who book an inspection, sign an agreement, pay an invoice, request a partner offer, or view a report).

We act in two capacities:

  • On our own behalf, for information we collect directly — account registration, bookings and lead requests submitted through HomeInspector.com, portal activity, device and usage data, communications with us, and marketing interactions. This Policy governs that information.
  • On behalf of Inspectors, for Customer Content that Inspectors and their Clients submit through the Services — inspection reports, findings, photos and videos, agreements, and job details. For that content, the Inspector is responsible for their own privacy practices and legal notices, and we process it to provide the Services as described in the Terms and this Policy. Questions about an Inspector's handling of your inspection should go to the Inspector first.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account and registration data — name, email, phone, company name, role, password, and profile details.
  • Booking and lead data — when a Client books an inspection or submits a request, we collect the Client's name, contact information, the property address, transaction details (for example, whether an agent is involved), and scheduling preferences.
  • Inspection and transaction content — inspection reports and findings, photos and videos, property details, agreements and electronic signatures, invoices, and messages sent through the Services.
  • Signature and acceptance evidence — when you sign an agreement or accept terms electronically, we record the signature image, signer name and email, IP address, timestamps, and the version of the document accepted.
  • Payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive transaction details (amounts, status, last four digits of a card) but full payment card numbers are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to its processing.
  • Communications — support requests, emails, and survey responses.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — we use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.
  • Mobile app data — with your device permissions, our mobile applications may access the camera, microphone, photos, precise location, and 3D/LiDAR scanning features to capture inspection media, floor plans, and property data. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
  • Session recordings and diagnostics — we use a third-party analytics and monitoring provider to record how the Services are used, including a reconstruction of the screens you viewed, the actions you took, and the content displayed on those screens. This may include inspection report content. Photographs taken in our mobile applications are not included in these recordings, and password fields are always masked and are never recorded. We use these recordings only to diagnose errors, investigate support requests, and improve the Services.

Information from other sources: Inspectors and Agents may provide information about Clients (for example, contact details to schedule an inspection). We may also receive information from service providers such as address-verification and mapping services.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, secure, and support the Services — scheduling, report writing and delivery, agreements and e-signatures, payments, portals, and hosted inspector websites;
  • send transactional communications — booking confirmations, scheduling updates, report delivery, payment receipts, consent capture, security notices, and support responses;
  • send marketing emails — including emails about Reggora offers and features and about third-party partner offers (for example, an invitation to request a home-insurance quote). Every marketing email identifies the sender, includes our physical address, and provides a clear way to unsubscribe, and we honor opt-outs promptly;
  • place marketing calls or text messages only with your prior express consent, captured through the Services. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service, and you may revoke it at any time;
  • personalize and improve the Services, develop new products and services, and perform analytics and research;
  • create De-identified Data as described in Section 5;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

4. How We Share Information

  • With Inspectors, Clients, and Agents involved in your transaction. The Services exist to move inspection information among the parties to a job: Clients' booking details go to the Inspector; reports, agreements, and invoices go to the Client; and Agents identified as stakeholders receive the information the Inspector directs to them.
  • With service providers that help us run the Services — payment processing (Stripe), email and text delivery, cloud hosting and storage, DNS and website hosting for inspector sites, mapping and address autocomplete, analytics, application performance monitoring, session recording, and customer support tools — bound to use the information only to provide services to us and not for their own purposes.
  • With third-party partners, only at your direction or with your consent. If you request a partner offer (for example, a home-insurance quote), we share your identifying information with that partner only after you affirmatively agree through a consent flow in the Services, and we record what was consented to and when. The partner's own privacy policy governs its use of your information. Reggora may be compensated by partners in connection with these programs.
  • With our affiliates, including Reggora's appraisal and valuation businesses, consistent with this Policy.
  • In corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to reasonable confidentiality protections.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Reggora, our users, or the public.

We do not share Customer Content that identifies you with third parties for those parties' own commercial purposes except at your or your Client's direction, with a consent captured through the Services, or with service providers as described above.

5. De-identified and Property-Level Data

We may create and use De-identified Data — data derived from Customer Content and use of the Services that has been aggregated and/or de-identified so that it does not identify any individual. De-identified Data may include property-level information — such as property characteristics, systems, condition, defects, measurements, and floor plans, associated with a property or its address — with personal identifiers of individuals removed. De-identified Data belongs to Reggora, and we may use, distribute, license, and commercialize it for any lawful purpose, including industry benchmarking, analytics, research, valuation and property-data products, and building and improving products and services (including products and services offered by Reggora's appraisal business). We maintain De-identified Data without attempting to re-identify it to any individual, and we require the same of anyone we share it with.

6. Your Choices

  • Email marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email support@homeinspector.com. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional messages about your inspection, account, or payments.
  • Calls and texts. Marketing calls and texts are sent only with your prior express consent; reply STOP to any text or contact us to revoke consent.
  • Cookies. Manage cookies through your browser settings.
  • Mobile permissions. Manage camera, location, and other permissions in your device settings.
  • Account information. You can review and update account information in your account settings or by contacting us.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws in other states), including the right to know what personal information we have about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise these rights, email support@homeinspector.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity (for example, by confirming control of the email associated with your account or transaction) and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If we engage in the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by applicable law, you may opt out by emailing support@homeinspector.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." We do not knowingly sell the personal information of anyone under 16.

If you are a Client and your request concerns inspection content controlled by your Inspector, we may direct your request to the Inspector or assist them in responding.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (including record-keeping for electronic signatures and payments), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Account data is retained while your account is active; business data is exportable as described in the Terms for thirty (30) days after account closure. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before deletion in the ordinary course of operations. Session recordings and related diagnostic data are retained by our monitoring provider for no more than thirty (30) days from the time they are recorded, and are then deleted automatically. De-identified Data may be retained and used indefinitely.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and logging. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or stored by the Services. Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials and notify us promptly at support@homeinspector.com of any suspected unauthorized access.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 to use them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided us personal information.

11. United States Processing

The Services are operated from the United States and are intended for users in the United States. Information we collect is processed and stored in the United States, and by using the Services you consent to that processing.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions take effect when we post them and provide notice (for example by email, in-product notice, or updating the "Last Modified" date above). Your continued use of the Services after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
